Dr. Hui is the founder and Honorary Director of the Center for Information Security and Cryptography, and concurrently an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science, The University of Hong Kong. Dr. Hui received his BSc and MPhil degrees in computer science from The University of Hong Kong, and his MSc and PhD degrees in computer science from the University of California, Davis. Besides actively publishing research papers, he is also involved in consultation work in security systems, and in industrial collaboration projects. For instance, he is the Principal Investigator of several applied research projects relating to I.T. security with a total sum of around US$2.5 millions.
Dr. Hui's research interests include information security, authentication services, network security, cryptography, and electronic commerce. He is a senior member of IEEE.
