The School of Computing and Data Science (https://www.cds.hku.hk/) was established by the University of Hong Kong on 1 July 2024, comprising the Department of Computer Science and Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science.

HKU CS GPU Farm (Phase 2)

A state-of-the art GPU farm (a computer cluster with 100 pieces of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti GPU cards installed in 25 compute nodes) that is offering powerful GPU-backed virtual machines for high-performance computing has been built in the Department of Computer Science of HKU. This new computing facility will enable students and staff to apply and develop cutting edge machine learning models. The farm consists of NVIDIA GPUs, 10-Gigabit Ethernet switches and 6 file servers providing 576 TB usable disk storage in total.
