A paper co-authored by our CS PhD candidate Yiheng XU has been selected for the 2024 Frontiers of Science Award in Theoretical Computer and Information Sciences to be presented at the International Congress of Basic Science in Beijing from July 14-26, 2024. Yiheng is the first author of the awarded paper titled "LayoutLM: Pre-training of Text and Layout for Document Image Understanding", with Minghao LI, Lei CUI, Shaohan HUANG, Furu WEI, Ming ZHOU as co-authors. He's co-supervised by Professor Tao YU and Professor Lingpeng KONG in his PhD study at the Department of Computer Science.
