Professor Reynold CHENG and Professor Ping LUO received their awards at the HKU Excellence Awards Presentation Ceremony held on March 6, 2024 at the Rayson Huang Theatre. The ceremony was officiated by HKU Pro-Chancellor Dr the Honourable Sir David Li Kwok Po, Council Chairman Ms Priscilla Wong, and Acting President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Richard Wong.
Professor Reynold CHENG was presented with the Outstanding Research Student Supervisor Award by Professor Richard Wong. This award is granted in recognition of supervisors of research postgraduate students whose guidance has been of particular help to their students in the pursuit of research excellence.
Professor Ping LUO received the Outstanding Young Researcher Award from Professor Anderson Shum, Associate Vice President (Research & Innovation). This award is for giving recognition to young researchers who are demonstrating extremely high quality research.
