A big congratulations to four academic staff at the Department of Computer Science, HKU for their promotion.
The applications of Dr Ping LUO and Dr Ruibang LUO for early tenure & promotion to Associate Professor have been approved by the University. Both of them were named Top Innovators under 35 by MIT Tech Review in 2019 and 2018 respectively. As stated in the Provost's letter, the promotion signifies the University's recognition of their meritorious performance and accomplishments.
Dr Dirk SCHNIEDERS and Dr Loretta YK CHOI, who have provided excellent service on Teaching and Learning (T&L) for a number of years, will be promoted to Senior Lecturers. They will play a bigger role in the advancement of our Department's T&L, and picking up more T&L-related duties including admission & programme publicity, examinations, teaching pedagogy, student advising, final year projects and experiential learning.
