Three HKU teams won 2 Gold Medals and 1 Honorable Mention in the Asia Regional Contest (Shanghai Site) of the International Collegiate Programming Contest conducted via online on November 27-28, 2021. There were 668 teams joining this contest, with top 35 being awarded the Gold Medal. The 2 HKU teams were the only teams from Hong Kong that received Gold in this contest. All three HKU teams are coached by XIE Hao, a Computer Science PhD Candidate who is under the supervision of Dr Hubert CHAN.
