The online launch of the HKU and IS-CAS Joint Laboratory on Intelligent System Software was held on September 28, 2021, followed by three sessions of Academic Workshop.
This joint lab aims to promote research collaborations between Engineering Departments at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), and the Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IS-CAS) on AI, systems software, robotics, and IOT.
Professor Yuguo Li, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of HKU, Professor Chen Zhao, Leader of IS-CAS, Professor Yanjun Wu from IS-CAS, and Professor Francis Lau, Associate Head (External Relations) of the Department of Computer Science of HKU made speeches at the launch.
Following the launch, an Academic Workshop with three sessions on AI & CV, IOT & Robotics & NLP, and System & Network & Software were conducted by academic/research staff from HKU and IS-CAS.
Over 100 academic/research staff and research students from both HKU and IS-CAS attended this online event hosted by Heming Cui, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Science, HKU.
