The School of Computing and Data Science (https://www.cds.hku.hk/) was established by the University of Hong Kong on 1 July 2024, comprising the Department of Computer Science and Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science.

Two of the 2020-21 recipients of HKU-SCF Scholarship in Financial Technology, LAI Mei Kwan, Eva (BASc(FinTech) - Year 2) and LEE Sze Choi, Rain (BASc(FinTech) - Year 1), expressed their gratitude to the scholarship donor, the Standard Chartered Hong Kong 150th Anniversary Community Foundation (SCF) for their generous gift.
