HKU-Oxford Partnership in Quantum Information and Computation

The quantum groups of the Computer Science Departments at The University of Hong Kong and the University of Oxford recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enter into partnership in quantum information and computation. The signing ceremony was held on January 15, 2020 in the presence of Professor Alfonso Ngan (Acting- Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research) of HKU), Professor Christopher Chao (Dean of Engineering of HKU), Professor Bob Coecke (Joint Head of the Quantum Group at the University of Oxford), Professor T.W. Lam (Head of the Computer Science Department, HKU), Professor Giulio Chiribella (Director of HKU Quantum Information and Computation Initiative (QICI)), Dr Reynold Cheng and other members from HKU & Oxford.
