Congratulations to Professor S.M. Yiu on his promotion to Professor with effect from November 1, 2019, and for being listed as one of the Highly Cited Researchers (globally) in 2019 by Clarivate Analytics.
The award of the Professorships signifies the University's recognition of Professor Yiu's excellent performance and meritorious accomplishments in his academic and research work.
The Web of Science Group, a Clarivate Analytics company released annually a list of Highly Cited Researchers that identifies scientists who produced multiple papers ranking in the top 1% by citations for their field and year of publication, demonstrating significant research influence among their peers.
According to the record on Publons, which is part of the Web of Science Group, the "Total Times Cited" of the 279 publications by Professor Yiu is 9,003, with an H-index of 32.
