Woo Chung Yu, a current BEng(CompSc) Year 2 students, receives the Innovation and Technology Scholarship 2019 which is jointly sponsored and supported by the Innovation and Technology Commission and The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, and administered by the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups. This Scholarship aims to provide recognition to 25 outstanding undergraduates studying in science, engineering, medicine or health-related degrees in local universities.
This award will enable Miss Woo to have opportunities for overseas exchange at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and local internship. Each awardee will also be matched with a well-known scholar as mentee.
The award presentation ceremony, which was officiated by The Hon Mrs Carrie Lam, the Chief Executive of HKSAR, was held at the Conference Hall of the Central Government Offices on April 1, 2019.
