Over hundreds of teachers and students from various primary and secondary schools attended the talks on "Sound, Music and Science" and "Sound, Music and Engineering" by Dr. Beta C.L. Yip in November 2018.
The talks are part of the "The Science and Engineering of Music" project led by Professor Francis C.M. Lau, and is funded by the HKU Knowledge Exchange (KE) Fund. A series of talks were conducted to enhance participants' understanding of the science of music, as well as hardware and software techniques to build musical instrument, with the aim to spark student’s and public interest in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) and integration of technologies.
