Dr. Heming Cui receives an award from the Huawei Research Innovation Program (HIRP) 2017 with his proposal �𦯷chieving Strong Fault-tolerance for General Storage Applications via Fast, RDMA-powered PAXOS��. This award includes substantial research support and collaboration opportunities, including a research grant of USD 70,000, joint patent applications, and transfer of the new distributed systems developed by Dr. Cui�䏭 group into Huawei�䏭 commodity datacenters.
The HIRP seeks to identify and support world-class, full-time faculty members in global leading universities pursuing innovation of mutual interests. This year, Huawei received a large number of submissions, and only the competitive ones were selected for the award.
